hello everyone...i feel very sad..2004 has left us and we shall welcome 2005...2004 had been a great year for me...many things in life changed in this year...i'll be using red fonts this month as a representation of the Singapore colour of RED!! because i am supporting the Singapore Soccer Team in a quest to be crowned the Kings of ASEAN football...in the TIGER CUP 2004/2005 to be exact...
Phew!! The weekend had been WET!!! However, it was fun and very memorable for me...its been a while since i've got any chances to be walking and runnning around in the rain...all because i played 2 matches of soccer on Sat and on Sun..both in the rain....i guess playing soccer in the rain had been my forte..i dunno...somehow i manage to perform better when i play in the rain...anyways...the match on Sat was played between my ITC team and My neighbours Team..which was played on a field that no one wished they would play on...the field was water-logged..it ended as a draw game with a scoreline of 5 a piece...
On Sun, i played another match with my bro's team...despite the weather the whole day was dark, cloudy and heavy rains here and there...the match started at 5.15 pm sharp although at that time..it was raining heavily..i was made to rest for the first half and was brought in as a reserved keeper for the 2nd half of the game..i was all drenched and dirtied by mud as the end of the match came...luckily i had brought extra change to be worn for the trip to the National Stadium to watch the 2nd leg of the semi finals on the Tiger Cup 2004 between Singapore and Myanmar...
ROAR LIONS ROAR!!!
Thats what the Singapore Lions had done over the weekend when they beat Myanmar 4-2 on the 2nd leg of the Tiger Cup Semi-finals to make it to the Finals with a total of 8-5 aggregate scores..the atmosphere at the Stadium yesterday evening was fantastic...i almost lost my voice from shouting tirelessly for the LIONS!! the amazing atmosphere was later spoilt by the commotions which took place between the Singapore and Myanmar fans...in the supporters' stands which began soon after Indra Shahdan Daud missed a penalty kick from the spot.what a stupid guy...did'nt they train him to take spot kicks??
anyway back to the commotions part...dustbin were seen being thrown...as i was seated at the south side of the stadium i felt i was at a safe spot as the commotions happened at the east side of the stadium nearer to the north side of the stadium...from where i was seated...i saw a group of 'SKINHEADS' who were actually seated in front of me running to the area where the commontions were happening just to join in the so called free-for-all event...hehe looks grand..'free-for-all event'...of all the things that happened yesterday...i pitied the Myanmar fan who was attacked by a group of skinheads just outside the east entrance of the stadium...the skinheads were then chased away by other SINGAPOREAN fans...singapore fans are not bad afterall...my uncle who was one of those in charge of the CISCO team patrolling around the stadium for security reasons called me just to check that i had left the stadium...because according to him...at the East entrance where i left the stadium a few minutes b4...a big fight was happening at the time he called me...anyways...these stories a side...i wanna talk about the Finals now...
The LIONS will be facing Indonesia in what seemed to be going a tough match for both side to play..anyway...my HEART will always be behind the SINGAPORE LIONS!!! rest assured i'll be present at the National Stadium rain or shine...free ticket or i haf to buy..i dun mind.....
I'LL BE THERE!!!
