Flu bug hits Singapore camp!!!
With just four days to go before their Tiger Cup final second leg clash against Indonesia, an influenza bug has laid low more than half of the Singapore squad.
13 players and four officials have caught a rather severe case of the flu, with several reporting fevers as well.
The players with flu are Daniel Bennett, Jaslee Hatta, Ishak Zainol, Noh Rahman, Hasrin Jailani, Hassan Sunny, Ismail Yunos, Imran Sahib, Tengku Mushadad, S Subramani, Lionel Lewis and captain Aide Iskandar.
With the team checking into the Amara Hotel on Thursday morning, the Lions management has taken measures to help the recovery of those down with the flu as well as to prevent its spread to other players.
"The players with the flu will be separated from the others on different floors in the hotel," said Singapore team administrator Eugene Loo. "The ill players have also been prescribed strong antibotics by our doctors."
While every necessary measure has been taken, the flu bug and its impact on the physical condition of the Lions will obviously remain a major worry for coach Radojko Avramovic as he prepares his team for the final on Sunday.
What's happening?? Will these guys recover in time for the match of the year??? hopefully, please dun disappoint me..i've already got the tickets the first day it was on sale at 5 different stadiums....i went to Bishan to get it...lucky me there wasn't many ppl there cause i got the tickets quickly...
yesterday afternoon, got a call from my bro, Raihan who was on the way to KL, to see that i take care of things here back in Singapore...luckily he had called me before he crossed the causeway or my arse is in deep sh*t!! i am suppose to hold a training session for a group of ITE students...and everyone at the rowing centre had left for KL where the 10th South East Asian Rowing Championships will be held...and my only access to the centre is to get the keys from him...so there i was stranded in the middle of Bishan and he in Woodlands...had to think of a solution quickly and *BLING* *BLING* i remembered...James stays in Marsiling...called him whether he could get the keys from my bro for me and pass it to me in school today..and lucky me..he was on the way home when i called..so fixed the meeting place for both of them and gave James my bro's car license plate no. and gave my bro James hp no. just to call when he had reached Marsiling....it did not take long for those to ppl to meet...and the keys are now safe in my bag...hehehe!!
after those busy times...called Ryan and met him later at Orchard Cineleisure where we played pool for about an hour...after that both Ryan and Joel who was also there...went to Heeren! while i made my way home...met my mom and nephew at the Bedok Interchange...walked around and managed to get myself a new pair of jeans...cost me 30 bucks man!! quite cheap hor!! hehe!! had been a regular customer there so i manage to ask for discount...the aunty at the shop was sooooo friendly...she remembers me..had dinner at McDonald's...treat my nephew to fries...
headed home and turned on the computer and chatted for a while and then played 'Winning Eleven 8' on PS2 with my 2nd bro...haha it was very the fun man!!! i had the best game ever...have u ever tot that someone could win another person with the score of 13-1?? i repeat...13-1.....in 20 minutes...damn that was wacky man...even his 1-yr old son was jumping around laughing and shouting "goal" in his own language....evrytime i scored...haha...should have seen him do that it was so damn cute...
had an early night yesterday...slept until 4 when i was awaken after being kicked by my mom who was sleeping alongside me at the living room...i was wondering how come she did not sleep in the room...anyways could not sleep anymore...remembered that Man U and Chelsea are playing a match turned on the TV and watch the entire of the 1st half...at half time i was too sleepy to stay awake and fell asleep..was awaken again later by my mom to switch off the tv set...and realised that it was already 6.30 am...i tot to myself" shit, am i going to be late"..got to leave the house by 6.45..went straight to the toilet bathed and did everything i had to do...and got the house at 7....anyways..it was not so bad as i got the bus as soon as i reached the bus stop...reached school together with za who took the same bus and we were late by 15 mins...i guess..the lecturer did not say anything so i was like relieved...hehe..!! had a tiring day at school today...did not feel like doing anything at all...did not feel like doing the lab for Cprogramming and did not feel like doing the e-quiz for the Data Comm and Networking....went home after school, took the same bus as za again..heard alot of stories from her....and fell asleep as soon as she got off the bus...damn must be freaking tired....reached the interchange msged Syaaban who i told was going to his house to sent his modem back to him that i couldn't make it because i was too tired to go to Simei...went home continued to sleep until 5.30 after my mother came into my room saying that my sis-in-0law need my help in releasing the car for rent...at the carpark...i went down...filled up the car with water...for the radiator and checked the car fuel..and then finally let go the car for rent till Monday and collected $200...
well, i am now done with this edition of my stories...hehe!! edition...hehe!! got to go now...need to do something impt for my bro...okey dokey!!! i'm going, i'm going,i'm going...GONE!!!
